Transforming & Revitalizing Downtown Office Space

OFFICE TO HOTEL CONVERSION

Transforms Into Calgary’s Newest Hotel

Originally a 12-storey office tower, the building was thoughtfully acquired and repositioned to meet evolving market demand. The conversion eliminated ~167,000 sq. ft. of vacant office space and introduced a 226-suite hotel offering a mix of short and extended stay accommodations. This reimagination was designed to contribute to Calgary’s economic diversification and downtown revitalization.

Element by Westin

The Element by Westin brand was selected for its modern, sustainability-led and wellness-focused ethos. Bright, open-concept studios and one-bedroom suites feature fully equipped kitchens, spa-inspired bathrooms and Westin’s signature Heavenly® Beds, offering a residential sense of comfort paired with hotel level refinement.

STUDIO COMMONS

A defining feature of the property is the Element’s Studio Commons, a unique communal concept anchored by four guest rooms. Designed for connection and flexibility, this shared kitchen and living area invites guests to gather, cook and unwind, reinforcing a sense of community rarely found in traditional hospitality venues.

DOWNTOWN LOCATION

Located in the city’s west end, the hotel benefits from its easy access to public transit, the Bow River pathway network, the 8th Street urban improvement corridor, and views of the Louise Bridge. Its location and mixed-stay format invite a diverse audience from business travelers to tourists, and longer stay guests. This development was purposefully designed to contribute to a more active and prosperous downtown Calgary.
